The trouble with Telenet

Telenet did not keep their promise to come back to me on Friday, so I gave them a call today to follow up when we'll finally get our internet here.

The nice lady - Joyce - had me talking for 15 minutes or so in Flemish, until she said she could also try German, if I wanted. What the...!
Then again, Joyce seemed to know better than her two colleagues I had been talking to before what the problem with my order is.

Joyce: So the cable is in the house?
Leo: Yep.
Joyce: Hm - is this a new building?
Leo: Yep.
Joyce: That's the problem - somebody needs to
come first and activate the actual cable
before we can send our technician to make the
connection for Internet, phone and TV.
Leo: Hum. When can we do this?

When things like these happen, you always know it won't be good...

Joyce: They can come earliest February 10...
Leo: ...

Fuck!

She also made an appointment for the installation of the Internet and other connections for the day after. I hope this is really correct now and had Joyce swearing on the grave of her dead mother that nobody would call me on February 8, telling me they have to cancel the appointments...

Well, hearing Andi and Nadia, other companies (read: Base) are not quicker with getting Internet delivered, even if it's to buildings which are already around for a while.

No Internet til Feb 11... that's tough!
