Another Flemish exam...
It turned out that I had no time at all to study anymore before going to my Flemish exam tonight
Before I left, I quickly browsed through my notes with the grammar and vocabulary that I knew would give me most headaches and I desperately tried to stuff the key bits into my brain.
I arrived 15 minutes late and just in time for the start of the exam.
Lies stressed that she expected us to give answers worthy of someone doing Nederlands 2.3, i.e. we would not be able to get away with simple structures and short answers and then expect full points. Well, being simple has never been my problem, so this did not sound like something I had to worry about at all...
I had to write down proper reactions for certain situations of daily life, had to make good use of moeten / mogen / kunnen / willen, had to decide whether a "te" was needed or not, had to master personal / possessive / demonstrative pronouns, created some clever sentences in reported speech, wrote a complaint letter to a furniture house, solved a crossword puzzle and answered questions about a given text.
This kept me busy for a little less than 2 hours.
Thankfully, most of the topics where I felt particularly poorly prepared did not come up at all, which might help me once more to a decent score...
But who cares! - It's done!
Now there are 2 weeks of precious Easter vacation, so I do not need to worry about studying Flemish at all and can just hang out on Tuesday and Thursday nights...
... intelligently spending my time watching TV shows, DVDs and browsing lame websites.
Aaaah, that's life!
