The kiss of the hammer
The works continue.
This morning the guys started at 6:55.
But not with the longing, sweet knocking that would feel now like a soft whisper from the pretty girls' lips or the beautiful chirping of little, happy birds.
No.
This morning I was woken up by the aggressive attack of the jackhammer! And it goes like this:
You're complaining about waking up from your crying baby?
Ever woke up with your head 1 meter from a crying jackhammer, jackass?
But the jackhammer rarely is alone.
Soon enough he was joined by his good friend, the sledgehammer, whom I already knew from yesterday. And then they sang their song:
Not my favourite duet to wake up to in the morning.
And I thought the sound of my alarm clock was like the bells of judgment day already.

6:55 am sounds like paradise if your little boy is waking you up between 5 an 6 in the morning. The sound of a little child's call to his parents might be a lot friendlier than the one of your jackhammer, but you have at least one or two hours additional sleep ;-)
Anyway, I can understand you're not having a lot of fun with that noise - I keep my fingers crossed for you that they are fast workers...

And generally jackhammers and sledgehammers go away after a couple weeks... Anxiously awaiting a blog posting about how nice and quiet it is in the morning.

Just see it as a little disturbance to get your terrace. Soon we will read about your terrace, how you enjoy it and maybe get invited for a BBQ :)
